Corvidae The Keeper Cabernet Franc 2007

OUT UNTIL NEXT VINTAGE Corvidae's "Keeper" Cabernet Franc is rich and velvety, full-bodied and easy drinking. The scent and flavors join black tea, tobacco, herbs, sweet cedar chips, blackberries, and cassis. This Cabernet Franc has real richness, dark fruits and thick, smoky tannins.

Corvidae Wine Company is an offshoot of Owen Roe Winery. David O’Reilly of Owen Roe consistently exceeds expectations and delivers good value. Now O’Reilly has expanded and crafted a series of excellent value wines from some of the other grapes out there – including Petite Sirah, Syrah, a Cab-Syrah-Merlot blend, and a Cabernet Franc.

This series of wines are known as “Corvidae” – a biological classification that includes birds of the crow and raven families. Each individual wine is named with a particular fairy tale, fable, or legend in mind.
