Domaine du Vissoux is as natural a Beaujolais as you would have had in a café in Lyon in the 1940’s. As for quality, Domaine du Vissoux is the Beaujolais at Willi’s Wine Bar in Paris, Cave la Grande, and just about every Bar-A-Vin in Paris.

The Revue du Vin de France says: "Striking robe (color) intense and blue-purple. The nose is pure, but discreet, the palate expresses itself fully, with both vivacity and a beautiful persistence of ripe fruit."

This is a completely natural wine. Pierre Chermette’s yields are so low and the grapes so naturally ripe that he does not chaptalize. He uses only indigenous yeasts. A traditional fermentation, aging in oak foudre and bottling with no filtration, and without adding any sulfites, in most vintages.

This wine is ruby colored with an intense nose of ripe dark fruit. The dark fruits follow through onto the palate with acidic freshness and well-integrated tannins that give the finish a wonderfully crisp feel. This is perfect warm weather red wine – give it a slight chill before serving.
